Day 18 – God Is Steady When Resistance Is Strong

Today’s Reading: Exodus 6–10

Big Picture

Exodus 6–10 shows what happens when God’s promises meet resistance.

Moses returns to Pharaoh with God’s word, but instead of immediate freedom, opposition hardens. Pharaoh resists. The people grow weary. Moses becomes discouraged. God’s plan does not unfold quickly—it unfolds deliberately.

Again and again, God declares who He is: faithful, powerful, and committed to His people. The plagues are not random acts of force. They are revelations. God is making Himself known—not only to Egypt, but to Israel as well.

Even when Pharaoh’s heart remains hard, God’s purpose does not waver. Deliverance is not delayed because God is weak. It is unfolding because God is thorough.

Grace is steady even when opposition is strong.

The ManlyTraining Lens

Grace teaches us endurance when obedience feels costly.

Many people assume resistance means they have misunderstood God. Scripture shows that resistance often confirms the significance of what God is doing. Moses is not failing—he is learning to trust God beyond visible results.

God does not rush Moses or abandon him when progress feels slow. He reassures him, repeats His promises, and continues the work Himself. Grace does not ask us to manufacture outcomes. It asks us to remain faithful.

Strong lives are built by staying obedient when clarity is partial and resistance is real. Grace anchors us when circumstances push back.

Reflection Question

Where might God be asking you to remain faithful, even though progress feels slow or opposition is present?

Final Thought

No matter your age or season of life, this truth remains: God remains steady when resistance is strong. Grace assures us that opposition does not cancel God’s promises—it often precedes deliverance.
