Reading: Leviticus 20–22
Big Picture
Leviticus 20–22 draws clear lines.
These chapters confront behaviors that destroy life and relationships, then turn toward priestly responsibility and careful worship. The movement is intentional: God exposes what harms, then safeguards what heals.
Holiness here is not about severity for its own sake. It is about protection—protecting people, worship, and the space where God meets His people. God cares deeply about what shapes hearts over time.
Boundaries, when rightly placed, preserve life.
The Manly Training Lens
Grace establishes protection, not pressure.
God’s commands in these chapters are not arbitrary. They are guardrails meant to keep His people free to live near Him. Holiness protects relationship; it does not replace it.
Here Christ is revealed. Jesus fulfills perfect holiness without crushing people. He embodies purity that restores rather than condemns. In Him, holiness becomes relational—truth held with grace—so people can truly know God, not fear Him.
God’s aim is not control. It is a life shaped safely within His presence.
Reflection Question
Where might God be inviting you to see boundaries as protection rather than restriction in your walk with Him?
Final Thought
God is holy.
Grace protects what matters.
And knowing Him teaches us how to live safely within His care.
We walk forward—not constrained, but preserved—within the boundaries of a God who loves us.
