Day 28 – God Makes a Way to Draw Near

Reading: Exodus 40 — Leviticus 1–2

Big Picture

Exodus ends with God doing what He promised.

The tabernacle is completed, and without fanfare or command, the glory of the Lord fills it. God chooses to dwell with His people. His presence settles among them.

Immediately after, Leviticus begins with offerings.

This shift can feel abrupt, but it reveals something important. God’s nearness does not remove holiness—it makes relationship possible. Leviticus is not a retreat from grace; it is God showing His people how to live with Him.

From the beginning, God is making a way to draw near.

The Manly Training Lens

Grace always comes first.

God fills the tabernacle before He gives instructions about offerings. Presence precedes response. Relationship comes before regulation.

The offerings in Leviticus 1–2 are not about earning access. They are about learning how to approach a holy God without fear. God provides the way.

Here Christ is clearly revealed. Jesus is the fulfillment of every offering—the One fully given, fully pleasing, and freely received. What Leviticus introduces through sacrifice, Christ completes through Himself.

God does not want His people merely compliant. He wants to be known.

Reflection Question

Where might God be inviting you to draw near—not by striving harder, but by trusting the way He has already provided?

Final Thought

God is holy.
Grace makes a way.
And knowing Him leads us forward without fear.

We do not work to earn His presence. We learn how to live with the God who has already chosen to dwell among us.
